Not a vitamin, herb or mushroom, EpiCor is derived from a fermented yeast medium through a proprietary, multi-stage fermentation and drying process. It's been found to be a high-metabolite immunogen that nourishes the immune system to help strengthen resistance and maintain wellness.

Activate natural killer cells. Natural killer (NK) cells are the body's first line of defense against foreign invaders. They destroy harmful cells by producing powerful chemical substances when they come in contact with them. EpiCor has been shown to cause a four-fold increase in the activity of NK cells in an in-vitro study.

Activate human B cells. B cells are considered part of the "memory" of the immune system. If a foreign invader tries to enter the body twice, B cells that make the right antibody are ready for it. EpiCor has been shown to significantly activate human B cells in a laboratory study.
Strengthen the mucosal immune barrier. Mucous membranes, such as those that line the mouth and stomach, act as a physical barrier that trap foreign invaders. Individuals exposed to the yeast culture that makes up EpiCor were shown to have high levels of IgA, an indicator of mucosal barrier strength.
